Dr. Lu earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine in 2007. Upon graduation he was commissioned into the US Army Dental Corp with a rank of Captain. After practicing general dentistry for two years, Dr. Lu was selected to enter the prestigious US Army Advanced Education Program in Periodontics. In 2012, Dr. Lu received his certificate in Periodontics and Implant Surgery as well as an M.S. in Oral Biology. In total, Dr. Lu spent 8 years of active-duty time in the US Army and attained the rank of Major with numerous awards.
Dr. Lu has extensive experience in dental implants, LANAP laser and other periodontal procedures. In addition to this, he has a good sense of humor, a gentle touch and is a good listener. He now lives in Southern California with his wife and young children.
